The 16th running of the Irish St Leger was held on Wednesday 17th September 1930 over 1 mile 6 furlongs of The Curragh. The winner was owned by Mrs C L MacKean, trained by A Blake and ridden by Morny Wing. A purse of £2000 allowed for the second to receive 100 sovereigns and the third 50 sovereigns, while the breeder of winner 100 sovereigns and the second 50 sovereigns. The winner won by 4 lengths with 1 1/2 lengths between second and third.
